If you’ve stepped into the front office or caught a glimpse of the holiday staff party (perhaps involving a certain jolly man in a red suit), you’ve likely met Phil Barry. While he’s the first to tell you he’s still "learning the ropes" at Lewis, his impact has been so profound that he was recently named the 2025-26 Classified Employee of the Year.

Effective March 2, 2026 All Lewis students are now required to obtain a Personal Transportation sticker if they are planning on riding an e-bike, bicycle, skateboard, or scooter to school and park it on campus. The safety of our students remains a top priority and our Personal Transportation policy helps to ensure all students are equipped to ride safely.

When you walk into Ms. Allison’s 7th-grade science classroom, you aren’t just entering a lab; you’re entering a "sweet spot" of middle school discovery. It is this dedication to the "awkward, curious, and wonderful" middle years that has earned Ms. Allison the prestigious title of 25-26 Teacher of the Year—the second time she has received this honor at Lewis Middle School.

We want to thank you for joining us at Leopard Parent Shadow Day! Having you, our parents and guardians, spend the school day with us is meaningful and enjoyable. We had 459 parents attend this year, and you had (mostly) good things to say.

On Friday, January 16, students from No Place for Hate, the Youth Leader Program, and the Black Student Union proudly participated in the 49th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. March at Knox Middle School.
