Lewis Middle School's Personal Transportation Device Policy Takes Effect March 2, 2026
All Lewis students are required to obtain a Personal Transportation sticker if they are planning on riding an e-bike, bicycle, skateboard, or scooter to school and park it on campus. The safety of our students remains a top priority and our Personal Transportation policy helps to ensure all students are equipped to ride safely. There is no cost for the permit, however these permits are only valid for the school year during which they are issued. Therefore, students must complete a paper application and participate in a Lewis Middle School approved bike/e-bike safety course and/or presentation prior to riding their personal transportation to and from school and/or school sponsored events.
Personal Transportation stickers and renewals will be issued by the Lewis front office staff. These stickers should be placed in a visible area on the personal transportation vehicle and not removed. If the permit sticker is ever lost or stolen, report this information to the front office immediately and a replacement sticker will be issued. If multiple replacement stickers are requested in the same school year, a fee may be charged.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Lewis front office at 1-619-510-4300
