Balloon PoppingWelcome Week at Lewis Middle School was a tremendous success, setting a positive tone for the 2025–2026 school year. Throughout the week, students and teachers engaged in activities designed to foster connection, build trust, and strengthen relationships. Students formed new friendships and deepened existing ones, while also getting to know their teachers beyond the classroom setting. The bonds formed between students and staff created a stronger sense of community, with everyone on campus feeling more seen, supported, and valued. The week reinforced the idea that Lewis is a place where every student belongs, and that belonging is the foundation for success.

While academic expectations were clearly communicated during Welcome Week, the primary focus was on emotional well-being, safety, and security. Fun activities, team-building challenges, and inclusive events filled the days, ensuring that every student started the year feeling connected and confident. This intentional approach allowed teachers and staff to get to know their students on a personal level, paving the way for a supportive and productive school year. The energy and enthusiasm throughout the week proved that when students feel safe, supported, and connected, they are better prepared to thrive academically. It was the perfect launch into a welcoming and inspiring school year, where our students remain at the heart of everything we do.
