Lewis JMUN Repeats as Best Middle School Delegation

For the second year in a row Lewis Middle School Junior Model United Nations (JMUN) won Best Middle School Delegation with our delegates from China: Andrew Merrow, Kinsley Bannister, Grace Rookus, Brady Cross, Natalie Nevius, Everett Braff-Hebert, Han Le, Alliyah Douglass, Mirabelle Vann, and Claire Sprinkle.

 

Additionally, Lewis brought home five gavels ("MVP's"): Alliyah Douglass, Grace Rookus, Hudson Mitchell-Pullman, Peter Tu, Sean Laohoo.

 

Three students were recognized as Rapporteurs (Best Diplomats): Alliyah Douglass, Hazel Johnson, Lynn Phan Nguyen.

 

Thirteen students were named Outstanding Delegates: Alliyah Douglass, Brady Cross, Grace Rookus, Hudson Mitchell-Pullman, Hazel Johnson, Georgia Dailey-Ray, Ruby Phillips, Faris Iqbal, Ari Oren-Winkler, Kira Quimby, Sean Laohoo, Peter Tu, Rutherford Engelke.

 

Finally, the Pat Pierson Economic Award (Best understanding of economic issues in a resolution) went to Owen Liss.

Thank you to club advisors Ms. Oshiro and Ms. Pearson, for preparing our students so well this year!

We're so proud of every one of our delegates who represented Lewis with excellent diplomacy and leadership skills.
